Over 200 people gathered in McCuaig’s Bar on Rathlin Island on Saturday 7th July for the launch of Rathlin Island Books’ latest publication - The Call of the Running Tide by renowned sailing and local history writer, Wallace Clark.

Rathlin Island Books (RIB) held its first book launch yesterday for 'HMS Drake. Rathlin Island Shipwreck' by Ian Wilson, in the Manor House on Rathlin. Despite the unseasonally windy weather, the event was very well attended. Stephen Ryan of RIB welcomed everyone and introduced the two speakers: Brett Cunningham, (retired HM Coastguard Coastal Safety Manager for South West Scotland and Northern Ireland) who launched the book, and the author Ian Wilson.

The launch of Rathlin Island Books' first title will take place on Saturday 28 May at 1.30pm in the Manor House, Rathlin Island. The book will be formally launched by Brett Cunningham (retired HM Coastguard Coastal Safety Manager for South West Scotland and Northern Ireland).
